T
Tackless type
Thermoseting or pressure sensitive adhesive with no stickiness.
Good workability at process involving lamination.
Taping condition
Taping performance of prepreg tape during winding on an object.
Tetoron
One of the brand name for Polyester fiber
"Tetoron" is the shared trademark of Toray and Teijin for polyester fiber. SInce it is the best-known name used for polyester, sometimes polyester fiber in general described as Tetoron.
Tg (Glass transition temperature)
One of the physical properties of which indicate heat resistance performance of materials.
The temperature range where material changes from a hard (glassy) state to a soft (rubbery) state while temperature increases. Common methods include Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC), Thermomechanical Analysis(TMA), and dynamic viscoelastic device such as Dynamic Mechanical Analysis(DMA) or Rheo meter.
Thermal analysis
Analysis to investigate time and temperature at where physical changes occur when a sample is heated.
A generic term for an analytical technique that measures the properties of a material by varying the sample temperature in a controlled temperature program to determine its weight, dimensions, hardness, endothermic reaction, and others.
Common methods include Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), and Thermomechanical Analysis (TMA).
Thermal conductive insulation adhesive sheet
Bonding (adhesive) sheet having ability to conduct/transfer heat.
Thermal conductivity
Ability of a material to conduct/transfer heat.
Thermogravimetry and Differential Thermal Analysis (TG-DTA)
A device of which simultaneously perform;
・Thermogravimetric analysis (continuously measures mass of a sample while the temperature of a sample is changed over time), and
・Differential thermal analysis(either exothermic or endothermic of a sample can be detected).
Simultaneous measurement of TG and DTA enables more detailed/combined analysis thermogravimetry and phase transition data.
Analysis can be carried under atmosphere of inert (Argon, Nitrogen), or Oxidative (Oxygen, Air).
Thermomechanical analysis
An analysis method to measure dimensional change of a sample during temperature change.
A technique for analyzing Glass transition temperature(Tg), coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE) and others. General test modes are tensile loading and compression loading.
The analysis to measure thermal expansion and shrinkage of the object with applying constant stress to pulling direction for the tensile loading, and towards an object for the compression loading.
Expansion rate of the object with raising the temperature by 1℃ is called "Coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE)". There is another test mode using probe for softening point measurement.
Thin coating technology
A technology of coating resins on in plane of glass substrate with uniform thickness.
Triacetate Cellulose
Low-retardation film substrate made with Tri- acetylcellulose
Twill weave
One of a weaving method.
Minimum of three warp threads crossing every three weft threads. The textile has excellent stretchability and can be thicker by narrowing gaps.
